Christine Ormsbee, Ph.D. is the associate dean in the College of Education at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Ormsbee holds undergraduate degrees in psychology and special education, a master's degree in learning disabilities from Emporia State University, and a doctorate from the University of Kansas. Dr. Ormsbee has focused her interests on the effects of improving pre-referral processes.
Dr. Ormsbee teaches undergraduate and graduate level classes in the area of Special Education. She is a trainer of the Structured Teaching model developed by TEAACH, and is actively involved in working with the Oklahoma Commission on Teacher Preparation to improve personnel preparation in the state. Dr. Ormsbee is currently coordinating the Special Education Clinical Program for OU, building relationships with LEAs, Juvenile Services, and other agencies related to the needs of individuals with disabilities.


Joyce Brandes

Joyce Brandes is a graduate assistant in the College of Education at the University of Oklahoma. She has an undergraduate and master's degree in special education and thirty-three years of teaching experience in the public and private sector. Her teaching experience has ranged from working with students with severe/profound to moderate disabilities and from infants to adults. She is about to complete her work toward a Ph.D. in Special Education. Her area of research interest is autism, literacy, and preservice preparation. Joyce teaches classes in Behavior Management, Introduction to Exceptional Students, and the coursework for practicum students and interns. She also serves as a clinical supervisor for practicum students and interns, has served as director of the GEAR-UP Sooner Summer Academy, and serves on the NCATE Board of Examiner.


Fen-Lan Jen

Fen-Lan Jen is a graduate assistant at the University of Oklahoma in the College of Education. She is working on the M. Ed. in Instructional Psychology and Technology in the Department of Educational Psychology. Her concentration is Design and Development of Instructional Software. With a variety of computer application knowledge and skills, she is developing computer-based training units for future presentations and demonstration. In addition, she is currently assisting on several research projects in instructional design and interface design.


Suzanne Price

Suzanne Price received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been in the field of education for 19 years. Her teaching career includes working at schools in Oklahoma, Texas and Cali, Colombia. Currently, she is a school counselor at Jefferson Elementary School in Norman, Oklahoma.
