Dr. Niederhauser is an Assistant professor of Educational Technology in the Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching, Curriculum and Instruction Department, at Iowa State University. He has taught introductory classroom application of technology courses for pre-service teachers and graduate courses in learning theory, instructional design, and research methods. Research interests include teacher development with respect to technology usage and learning in hypertext environments.

Denise Lindstrom-Butler is a Graduate Student in Curriculium and Instructional Technology at Iowa State University. She is currently working as a Teaching Assistant for an Introduction to Instructional Technology course for pre-service teachers. She has a California State Multiple Subject teaching credential with an Emphasis on Cross-Cultural Language Instruction. Her research interests are in the use of on-line collaborative technologies with middle school students to improve literacy skills.

At the Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching the ultimate goal of our work is to help educators provide students with technology-enriched learning environments that enhance education at all levels. To achieve this goal, we are preparing innovative, technology-using teachers and collaborating with teachers in the field to construct, evaluate, and disseminate student-centered learning environments.
